Regular Council meeting Thursday, September 19, 2002 Meeting called to order by Gene Pool, President of Council, acting Mayor. Moment of Silence Pledge of Allegiance Reading of Minutes Motion by John Synodinos, second by Robert Martin Sr. to approve the minutes as corrected from regular meeting held September 5, 2002. The Correction being: John Synodinos said that the facts written in the Herald Star were evidently incorrect. Motion by John Synodinos, second by Dave Smith to approve the minutes as corrected from the Special Council Meeting held on September 13, 2002. The correction being: Instead of Beth Rupert stating that there were about 10 residents who have to pay their bills it should be Dave Smith. Persons Appearing Before Council Barb Davis said that she and her husband would like to donate some perennials (flowers) to be planted in front of the Municipal Building. They also agreed to plant the flowers but asked that the Village maintain them. Council members thanked the Davis's for their donation. Tony Molinaro said that it has been nine months since Council started the process on abandoning the road near his son's property and they have yet to be notified that the process has been completed. Chris Becker explained why the delay had taken place to Mr. Molinaro but said that everything had been completed now and the paperwork just needed to be recorded. Gary Folden said that he would follow up on getting the paperwork to the county. Reading of Ordinance and/or Resolutions Ordinance 2002-18: An Ordinance approving the Village to sell the 1993 International Packer Truck was read for the first time. Resolution 2002-19: A Resolution accepting rates and amounts determined by the budget commission for Village levies. Motion by Dave France, second by Robert Martin Sr. to approve Resolution 2002-19. Ordinance 2002-20: An Ordinance increasing sanitation rates was read for the first time. Ordinance 2002-21: An Ordinance increasing water rates was read for the first time. Committee Reports John Synodinos congratulated the Village Drug Dog, Marco, on his recent work. Dave France said that the Finance Committee has been working on reviewing pay raises for next year. Administrator's Report None. Old Business John Synodinos said that he would be meeting on Friday with someone to discuss an alternative to the Village's Current health insurance policy. New Business Motion by Dave France, second by John Synodinos to approve the budget line items transfers prepared by the Clerk Treasurer.
